Welcome to Ashington Church of England Primary School Website.  We hope our website gives you a flavour of our wonderful school and a preview of what makes our Ashington community so special. Our school is nestled in the South downs amongst beautiful countryside, which we make full use of to enrich our Curriculum.

It gives me great pleasure to introduce myself, Mrs Adele Buck as the Headteacher of Ashington C of E School. I feel very privileged to be leading such an amazing school supported by a dedicated staff and Governors and fantastic children. As a Headteacher and parent myself (of three children and 1 miniature schnauzer!) I am passionate about children's education and my goal has always been to ensure children feel safe, happy and excited about their learning enabling them to achieve their full potential.

At Ashington we have a hugely talented staff team, who are all deeply committed to this philosophy, who go above and beyond daily to provide Ashington children with all the necessary skills and knowledge to be the best they can be. We are a therapeutic behaviour approach school and prioritise children's mental health and wellbeing alongside their social, academic and spiritual development. Our curriculum is rich, enquiry based and builds on children's natural curiosities about the world.

Our Christian distinctiveness shapes our school vision and is the golden thread that provides the context of everything we do here at Ashington, based on Christian beliefs and practice.  Additionally, our close partnership with our local Parish church supports our children on their individual faith journey.

Our Christian vision is based on Corinthians 'Love never Fails'. We encourage our children to live out this vision in all that they do and say every day by focusing on four key pillars; Love of ourselves, Love of others, Love of Learning and Love of God, founded upon our core values of: Love, Hope, Trust and Forgiveness. Our clear vision and values enable our children to make decisions and choices every day, which will ultimately help them to lead a happy, successful life and flourish spiritually.

Our school is a very special place and we would love to welcome you and your family for a visit. Please contact the school office to arrange a suitable date/time.

Kindest Regards,
Mrs. Adele Buck
Headteacher

We have fantastic children and staff, a creative, diverse curriculum and endless outdoor space; enabling us to provide a unique and exciting learning experience all year round, including Forest Schools.
